Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist – LEVEL I

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician I, you will be responsible for performing operational and safety testing, maintenance, and repairs on equipment used in patient care. Maintenance actions include, but are not limited to technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment. You will be expected to adhere to strict maintenance schedules and ensure compliance metrics are met on a consistent basis.  Up to 75 Percent travel around the Madison, WI area (only) is required.

Successful Candidate Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work alongside clinical staff and maintain professional rapport in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
Familiarity with the Biomedical field including its’ concepts, practices, and procedures.

Required Experience or Qualifications:

Must possess 1 years of experience with at least 1 year in a clinical setting.
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.

A two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.

Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, planned maintenance, and repair service on various medical equipment.

Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.

Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.

Work Conditions and Special Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., push/pull equipment to and from carts, kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair or maintenance.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
Salary and Benefits:

We provide a competitive Salary Program commensurate with proven and related skills and demonstrated experience in recognition of the educational requirements for this position.

Salary Range:

$ 34.20 per hour on a 3 year contract with full benefits
