Logistics Management Specialist – Fort Detrick, MD

As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will provide logistic support for major systems on-site at Fort Detrick, MD

General Experience: Typically has 7 to 9 years experience providing logistic support for major systems.

Duties: Directly supports and supervises logistical personnel supporting program managers performing tasking associated with clinical engineering, hospital facility management, environmental services or acquisition projects. Prepares integrated logistic plans and policy and procedures for logistic support for major healthcare systems. Ensures that proper logistic considerations are included in the system development processes at each major milestone. Performs analyses to determine system maintainability, reliability, and supportability requirements. Documents results of the analyses in a report format. Develops systems maintenance concepts and plans and lifecycle supply requirements and processes to meet supply requirements. Performs cost analysis associated with systems logistic support and develops and reviews systems acquisition projects’ operating plans and procedures to ensure logistic support considerations are included. Performs technical training, configuration management, and quality assurance.

Education:  A minimum requirement of a B.A. or B.S. degree.

Work Conditions and Special Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., push/pull equipment to and from carts, kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair or maintenance.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
Salary and Benefits:

We provide a competitive Salary Program commensurate with proven and related skills and demonstrated experience in recognition of the educational requirements for this position.

Salary Range:    $36.06 to $ 45.89 per hour

( $75,009.60-$ 95,451.20 annualized)

This position is on site at Fort Detrick, MD and is a long-term, one-year contract with full benefits.
